The Tourism Institute of Spain, known as TOURSPAIN (www.spain.info), is the public institution in charge of promoting Spain as a tourist destination abroad, a task that is done through international tourism marketing strategies.
TOURSPAIN is attached to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism through the Secretary of State for Tourism.
Within the Embassy of Spain in Budapest, there is the Department of Tourism that coordinates the promotional activities of Spain in Hungary. The head of this department is Jaime Hecht Lombardo, who depends on the Spanish Tourism Office in Vienna, whose Director is Rocio Martín.
